This is why the duty of the human being is to seize the opportunity to come into contact with the representative of Krishna, the authentic spiritual master. Under the direction of this spiritual father, he can then return to God, in his original home.He will then become a “twice-born”.
As soon as an individual being distinct from God forgets his own natural position, and seeks to be one with the Absolute, his conditioned existence begins. It is indeed the conception that the Supreme Spiritual Being, Krishna, and the distinct being are equal not only in quality but also in quantity, which is at the origin of conditioned existence.
Whoever forgets the difference between the Supreme Lord and the distinct being is subject to the conditions of the material world, which implies that he will have to give up one material body to accept another, and die to die again.
Lord Krishna says, “I am the foundation of the spiritual being”.
Forgetfulness and misunderstanding of this truth are called maya, illusion. It is for having forgotten his own position and that of the Supreme Lord, that the distinct being sinks into illusion, or into conditioned existence.
This is what happens to those who have to be reincarnated.
God, through visions that He makes appear in our minds, usually between the ages of 20 and 30, gives us proof that we had a previous existence.
Each of us is, in truth, a spiritual soul or a spiritual being, and not the dense material body in which we reside, and to which we wrongly identify. We can prove this through our consciousness, which is in reality the energy of the soul, the manifestation of the soul, which, spreading throughout the body, takes control of it and by the vital force of the soul gives it life. Consciousness is the proof of the soul’s presence in the body.
In truth, death is only the end of life of the material body, which is going to decompose, and whose various elements which would make it up, will return to the different sectors of the material nature from which they came. The body is, in reality, a mass of inert material elements.
The soul, which is immortal, continues its existence and is reincarnated according to the law of karma, and according to the nature of its acts. It therefore has an experience separate from the body of dense matter. In reality, the soul is imprisoned in an ethereal body, which is itself enclosed in a body of dense matter. Also, at the time of reincarnation, it is the ethereal body that transports the soul to its new body,
which a new mother will give it in her womb. The celestial beings, who are God's helpers in this process, take on this wonderful duty.
