Why does God, the Supreme Person, let the wicked destroy the righteous?

Truly, many people in the present age of strife, strife, hypocrisy, indifference, decadence, sinfulness, and forgetfulness of God are under the influence of the material energy of the Supreme Lord, in its form of energy of illusion, which plunges them into ignorance of the data relating to Lord Krishna as He really is, and of the existential truth.

Man due to the influence of illusory energy, known as Maya, chooses ease, the pleasure of the senses, and sees three doors open before him, which lead to hell, these are concupiscence , anger and greed. Whoever does not close them, does not move away from them, moves away from God, plunges into darkness and by the effects it causes, ends up suffering.

He doesn't see the point of controlling his senses. The uncontrolled senses, enslaved by lust, are compared to enemies, who will push him to become a slave to them. Whoever ignores their pernicious nature and abandons himself to them, becomes their victim, and is destined to suffer in the present life already, and certainly in the next.

In truth, it is the interest of the soul that each of us is that must be sought, and not that of the body in which we are incarnated.

But the people of the present age, unfortunately immersed in materialism, are completely ignorant of the higher spiritual data, which dispense a sublime and eternal knowledge, leading to God, to the true world, and to true life. They do not know that they are blind, as Jesus said. They do not know that they are acting under the influence of Maya, the illusory energy. If they do not resist her, they will be defeated by her, and forced to die and be born again and again.

The real function of the human being is not to seek to enjoy his senses indiscriminately, continuously, without restraint, like an animal, but rather to practice austerity, penance, repentance, regulative principles (not not to have sex outside marriage, not to eat meat, fish and eggs, not to consume drugs, cigarettes, coffee and tea, and not to gamble), in order to acquire true happiness and spiritual and eternal bliss, which transcends fleeting material happiness.

The surest way to control one's senses is to refuse, thanks to the intelligence received from the Supreme Lord, to serve insatiable lust, and to turn with sincerity to the service of love and devotion that we offer to Krishna, the Supreme Lord. To serve Krishna with love and devotion, such is the perfection of existence.
