The Lord says to this effect: I am that Supreme Person who was before creation, when there was nothing but Myself and the cause of creation, the material nature was not yet manifested. I am also the one who will remain after the annihilation (the end of the material universe or the end of the world).

God already existed at the dawn of the material creation. It is He who maintains it, and when it is annihilated, He will continue to exist. For various reasons, we have ended up in the material universe, a miserable, temporary world of suffering. God wants us to return to His eternal kingdom, a sublime world, full of bliss, where the beings who live there are like God Himself, eternally young. We all come from there, so let us return there.

Only those who surrender themselves to God and serve Him with love and devotion can get there.

God, the Supreme Person says of Him: “I am the first and the last, the beginning and the end, the alpha and the omega”.

By saying: I am the first and the last, God, the Supreme Person wants to make it clear that He is really the only Living Being that exists, and that there is really no one else.

By saying: I am the beginning and the end, the Supreme Lord wants us to know that He is the beginning of existence, its middle and also its end. He is existence in its total composition, infinite and absolute.

By saying: I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Supreme Lord wants us to understand that He is the seed, the fundamental principle of this world of mobile and immobile entities. He is the substance of matter, the material cause, as well as the efficient cause. He is the fiery energy that governs everything, as well as the vital energy that is found in each of the individual spiritual beings distinct from God, minute fragments of His Person, the celestial beings, the human beings, the animals and the plants. Therefore, like Jesus, we too can say, “As Lord Krishna, God, the Supreme Person has life in Him, He has given all spiritual souls to have life in them.

He is all of complete knowledge, infinite perfect bliss, and eternity.”

The Lord says, “There is really nothing that exists apart from Me, that is what you must clearly understand.

Nothing is separate from My Person, the whole cosmic manifestation rests in Me, it is not separate from My Person. Before creation, I already existed.

When you thus know the truth, you will understand that all beings are an integral part of Me, that they live in Me, and belong to Me.”

The Lord further says: “Only through devotional service can one know Me as I am. And the being who through such devotion becomes fully conscious of My Person, can then enter My absolute kingdom.”

The Lord adds: “Serve Me with love and devotion and quickly return to My kingdom, your true abode.”

We all lived with God in the beginning of all things. So let us listen to the Lord, do what he says, obey him, and all return to his sublime kingdom, that we may live for eternity in perfect joy with him. That is where our true original home is. We shall then make our lives perfect. This is the perfection of existence.

Lord Krishna says: “Of all the worlds, spiritual and material, I am the source, from Me everything emanates”.
