Happy are all those who surrender to God, for they will know absolute peace and true freedom.
Blessed are all those who surrender to Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, who obey Him, do His divine will and serve Him with love and devotion, for they are assured of His divine protection.
The Supreme Lord protects Himself His pure devotees, or He sends His messengers to deal with them. God’s personal messengers, his heavenly helpers, are always willing to protect the servants and servants of the Supreme Lord from their enemies, envious and wicked beings, natural disasters, and against any other danger they may encounter in this world. May they be confident in the protection that Lord Krishna gives them.
I will give you a small glimpse of the protection that God provides for his devotees.
Material nature acts under the orders of God, and when plagues occur and must fall in a particular region (hurricane, violent wind, heavy rain, flood, drought, intense cold, earthquake, fire...), it is always for karmic reasons, which must affect the people who are there, so that, through the suffering undergone, they may erase the evil acts committed in their previous lives, and reduce their accumulated sins.
God, the all-knowing Person of each of us, sends His celestial helpers at the appropriate time, whom He has endowed with special powers, such as the power to bring forth, form and control the elements of material nature. They obey God's orders and do exactly what the Supreme Lord asks them to do.
Have you noticed when a hurricane appears, when it forms, expands, and follows a given trajectory, it devastates and destroys everything in its path, and sometimes in an unexplained way, it will avoid one or two houses that were there, in its path. If these two houses were not destroyed, it is simply because they housed devotees of the Supreme Lord. In this case, Lord Krishna asked the celestial beings to protect these two houses, and that no harm be done to their occupants.
Whatever the nature of the natural plague, which is to fall anywhere, the devotees of God are assured of the protection of the Lord, and those of His celestial attendants.
