The ultimate goal of existence is to know God.

Human life must comprise four distinct stages: A period of study, taking as its base the sublime teaching of Krishna, a period of family life for those who wish to do so and who do not want to remain celibate, a preparatory period for the renunciation of materialism and sensual pleasures, and a period of total dedication to the service of Lord Krishna.

It is thus necessary to withdraw from all family life, large or small, around the age of fifty, in order to prepare for one's next life. This is the process that allows man to develop fully.

The real liberation from the uncertainties of existence consists in preparing for our next life, in order to know where we will go after death, what will be our next body, and the condition that will be ours.

We must absolutely find our true spiritual identity, know in conscience that each of us is a spiritual entity or soul, and return to God, in our original home, located in the kingdom of the Supreme Lord.

Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Krishna Himself, gives us the simplest method to achieve this. It is enough, he tells us, to sing constantly the Holy Name of the Supreme Lord, the hymn Hare Krishna. Free yourself from the complexities of existence and realize God, the Supreme Person, Krishna.

Consecrate yourselves to his devotional service, he adds, and make your life perfect, so that you may return to the kingdom of God, in your original home.

One must sing Hare Krishna, to free oneself from the torments of material life. The hymn of the Holy Names of God is the cure for the sickness of material existence.

Hare Krishna, hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, hare hare /
Hare Rama, hare Rama, Rama Rama, hare hare.

This Sanskrit chant of the Holy Names of God means: O Lord, O source of all happiness, please make me your beloved servant.

Krishna and Rama are the first two Names of God, and Hare is none other than his internal energy, his blissful energy. Among other things, this sublime song helps to relieve all the torments born of matter. This is the only salutary way that is offered to the materialist.

All humanity should know that human beings are subject to two kinds of disease. One, called material disease, relates to the body, but the main disease is spiritual in nature.
