The Science of God, or Science of Salvation

When the time comes, when the end of life has arrived, Lord Krishna, having planned everything in advance, sends his companions to fetch the devotee, whose earthly existence has come to an end. They come with a golden spirit vessel, which has absolutely nothing to do with those of human beings who make noise and break down. The golden spiritual vessel is safe, silent, and by its nature never breaks down.

The Vedas, the original holy scriptures also called the “true gospel”, records what happened to a great devotee of the Lord, Dhruva Maharaja, when he entered the spiritual vessel.

“It should be remembered that the body of Dhruva Maharaja was different from ours (because spiritualized). When he boarded the flying pod of Vaikuntha (the eternal planets of the spiritual realm), his body took on a purely spiritual golden hue. No one can rise beyond the superior planets in a material body. On the other hand, one who receives a spiritual body can reach not only the higher planetary system of this material world, but also the worlds beyond, known as Vaikunthaloka. We know in this regard that Narada Muni, the great sage, travels through all the material galaxies and the spiritual world.

It should also be noted that when Suniti (Dhruva Maharaja's mother) took the path of Vaikunthaloka, her body spiritualized as well. So, like Suniti, every mother should educate her child to become a devotee like Dhruva Maharaja. Suniti taught his son, even when he was only five years old, that he should not be attached to the things of this world and that he should go to the forest to seek the Supreme Lord there (which was possible 5,000 years ago, is no longer so today, which is why the Lord forbids retreating into the forest). She never desired to see her son stay comfortably at home without even seeking the favor of God, the Supreme Person, by leading a life of asceticism.

Following the example of Suniti, each mother must thus take care of her son and educate him from the age of five in the study of spiritual life, under the tutelage of a spiritual master, as well as in the practice of austerity, which consists in voluntarily accepting difficulties for the purpose of reaching the higher goal, that is, spiritual realization. Thanks to this education, if the son becomes like Dhruva, a fervent devotee of the Lord, not only will he certainly return to God, to his original home, but his mother will also return with her son to the spiritual world, even if she is not able to engage in austere practices as part of the devotional service.”

The Vedas tell us: “It was at Hardwar, on the banks of the Ganges, that Ajamila (great sage) left his ephemeral material body and recovered his spiritual and eternal form. Accompanied by the Visnudutas (the companions of Lord Visnu, the full emanation of Krishna) whom Lord Visnu sent to fetch him, he boarded a golden spaceship and, by way of the air, went directly to the abode of Lord Visnu, never to reincarnate in this material world again.”
