How can we ensure that our thoughts, words and actions no longer produce any effect?
The Lord teaches us how to make our actions consequence-free.
Lord Krishna says, “I wish to see all beings in this world happy.”
Lord Krishna teaches, “For those who worship Me, surrender all their actions to Me and devote themselves to Me without division, absorbed in devotional service and constantly meditating on Me, for such a one I am the Liberator who will soon snatch him from the ocean of deaths and rebirths. Simply fix your mind on Me, God, the Supreme Person, and place all your intelligence in Me. Thus, there is no doubt that you will always live in Me. If you cannot fix your mind on Me without failing, observe the regulating principles of devotional service.
If, however, you cannot submit to the regulative principles of devotional service, then try to consecrate your works to Me, for by acting for Me, you will attain the perfect state.
And if you cannot even act in this consciousness, then strive to renounce all fruits of your acts, and in the soul to establish your consciousness.
But if you cannot comply with this practice either, then cultivate knowledge. Superior to knowledge, however, is meditation, and superior to meditation is renunciation of the fruits of deeds, for this renunciation can bestow all peace for the mind.
The one who in no way depends on the modes of material action, the pure being, expert in everything, free from all anxiety, free from suffering, and who does not seek the fruit of his actions, that one, My devotee , is very dear to me”.
Lord Krishna adds: “Beyond the three gunas (the three attributes and modes of influence of material nature; virtue, passion and ignorance), these influences of material nature, which of the Vedas (of the original holy scriptures) are the primary object. Free yourself from duality (hot-cold, true-false, just-unjust, good-evil, etc.), abandon all desire for possession and material peace, be firmly united to the Supreme (to the Supreme Being).
You have the right to fulfill your duties, but not to enjoy the fruits of your actions. Never believe to be the cause of the aftermath of the action, and at no time tries to escape your duty.
Surrender yourself completely to Me, and I will take you under My protection, I will protect you from all perils. You will know absolute peace, and you will reach My eternal and supreme dwelling”.
Krishna, God, the Supreme Person does not want man to suffer continuously, so He tells us how to put an end to it.
Lord Krishna wants us to be happy, and to return to His kingdom of knowledge, bliss and eternity, to regain the natural, original eternal position of eternal servants, which we had with Him at the beginning of all things.
True and lasting happiness does not exist in the material universe, but it is in the spiritual world that it is really found, and that we will have it through contact with Krishna. On the other hand, the material cosmos is temporary, as it will one day be annihilated. The spiritual world, on the other hand, is eternal. That is why Lord Krishna wants us to return to Him, to our original home.
So let us go there and experience endless happiness.
Only thoughts, words and actions directed towards Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, are exempt from effects, and therefore do not entail any consequences.
