Through the application of this commandment, the Supreme Lord wishes us to establish a harmonious, peaceful, respectful, benevolent, compassionate, tolerant society, of which he would be the Sovereign Monarch for the good of all living beings, as is the case in the spiritual world.
Let us love one another with unconditional love, and do no harm to anyone. Those who truly love God, also naturally love all living beings, celestial beings, the inhabitants of the Edenic, Paradise planets, and all human beings without exception, for their hearts are truly filled with love. The true believer rejects no one, and has no enemies.
The love of neighbor as God conceives it, is also to love all animals without exception, terrestrial and aquatic, and all plants in their diversities, from the blade of grass to the trees, because each one shelters and feeds many living beings, insects, caterpillars, butterflies, birds, monkeys, etc. We have a duty to protect them and to watch over them all, so that no harm is done to them.
Verily, if all human beings are souls incarnated in human fleshly envelopes, so it is for all animals and for all plants, for each of them is also a soul incarnated in a body of specific matter, according to his karma.
All souls, regardless of the material body in which they have incarnated, are the same. They are all equal, have the same spiritual level and the same importance. None is superior to another.
It’s all about loving your neighbor.
Who takes refuge in God, is freed from imprisonment in matter.
The embodied spiritual soul, which each of us is in reality, if it allows itself to be influenced by material energy becomes conditioned by matter. If she pursues with frenzy the pleasure of the senses, unaware that this way will never allow her to escape from material defilement or material imprisonment, she will obtain for any “benefit”, only the renewal of the cycle of birth and death, in a word, she will be reincarnated repeatedly.
We are all a spiritual soul incarnate in a human body because of our disobedience to God. It is the material body in which we have incarnated that causes our forgetfulness of God, of our true spiritual identity, and therefore plunges us into perpetual suffering and perdition.
